“I don't know how I'll ever be able to put together the words to express how incredibly thankful I am for everything you have done, and continue to do. I have two foster kids who have had a rough start to their lives. I love them and would do absolutely anything for them, however that often means unimaginable sacrifice. Starting school is an incredibly exciting time, but the stress associated with that often can go unacknowledged.

To have a box delivered for both of my tamariki has taken so much of that stress away. I know my boy will be over the moon when he wakes up and sees how loved and cared for he is by his community. You have replaced my worries and concerns for his school uniform, fees, presents and goodies. Instead I am able to share in his excitement for this new chapter. That's because of you. So much time, care, and consideration was put into his box, to have everything named, to have everything he will need to start school confidently, to have that is worth more than any words will be able to express.

From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you!”

"So, I have tried to write this email a couple of times and am still at a loss for words at the goodie box and starting school assistance I received from SSFIMarlborough.

It was really cool!

Everything you can think of along with everything he would need to start school.

I was super impressed and found the whole experience really emotional because they thought of everything.

On behalf of my son, his brothers and myself we would like you to please pass on our thanks and gratitude. Because of them we were able to really make him turn 5 and going to school a big thing. Now he is just like his brothers which means he’s a big boy too now.

We were able to give him a birthday that he and I would say a few Kindy kids will remember for years to come.”
